ALABAMA — There is a growing sentiment that a former nursing home manager at a northern Alabama orphanage has died.
According to local reports, Ashley Jones, 51, died on Wednesday at the Harlan County Regional Health Center in Baldwin.
The Harlan Regional Health Care System says that Jones had recently returned from a five-day vacation in Alaska.
The Associated Press reports that Harlan is in Baldwin and Jones is a registered nurse at the facility.
Jones is believed to have been working at Harlan since 2010.
She was the president of the Baldwin Regional Board of Nursing and had worked at the center since 2000.
According the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Harlan officials have been notified of Jones’ death.
A family member has not yet been identified.
